Norvillians 5, Apocalypse Now 0
Melrose– January 10,
2010 – The Norvillian goalie came up big and helped
his team top the struggling Apocalypse Now 5-0 on Sunday afternoon. “He had a
disdainful glove hand,” Myron Fiks said. It was the
first shutout this season for the Norvillians
(5-1-2), who have now won five games in a row. The Apocalypse dropped their
second straight game “I just like to win and eat wings,” Bryan Wiebe
said. Slap Shots: It is a rarity for Apocalypse Now not to
score a goal in a game. The last time they were shut out was almost 4 years ago
on February 1, 2006 when they lost 6-0 to the Killer Bees. This was only the
third time in 13 years that they failed to score.
